EXPLORING THE SUSTAINABLE OPTIONS
Yesterday Cristina went to St Albans Wood Recycling CIC to find out more about the ways we could use the recycled timber in furniture design.
St Albans is a charity that collects waste wood to reduce the amount of wood sent to landfill. They sort the wood, selling anything that is reusable to the community at affordable prices. St Albans provide volunteering, learning & work opportunities for those not in education, employment.
We are very excited after being presented with all the options of using the upcycled wood and soon will upload the design outcome of this visit. But for now, there are some photos of the St Albans Workshop. Either way, wether you are a designer or just someone who would like to learn some new skills, we eagerly recommned you to visit the lovely people at St Albans :)
